Description
The International Center for Executive Options (ICEO) is LHH’s global boutique practice, advising executives at the highest levels across industries as they onboard into new roles, lead through new and changing environments, and navigate retirements and transitions.
The ICEO Executive Writer partners with senior leaders and executives to position their professional brand for successful job searches, board opportunities, and next-phase career moves. This role requires exceptional writing, branding, and advisory skills, along with the ability to collaborate closely with executive advisors to deliver high-impact, market-ready executive brand materials.
Executive Writers demonstrate a professional demeanor, strong business acumen, and a consultative approach. They are adept at uncovering executive strengths, translating complex career narratives into compelling content, and adapting materials to today’s dynamic executive and board marketplace. This is an associate (hourly), remote-based role within the United States.

In this role you can expect to
Key Accountabilities
- Partner with executives delivering a highly personalized comprehensive process to develop executive resumes, board resumes, executive bios, and supporting personal branding materials that communicate their unique value proposition in support of the goals for their next chapter – which may include a corporate executive role, board roles, academia, or an active retirement portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with the ICEO Advisor throughout the engagement to incorporate strategic guidance, input, and feedback into all documents being developed.
- Conduct in-depth consultations to understand executives’ career goals, leadership narratives, and value propositions.
- Assess executive strengths and experiences, positioning them effectively for senior executive opportunities.
- Translate complex executive experience into concise, compelling, and results-driven content.
- Develop effective, timely, and market-aligned executive resumes, bios, and board profiles.
- Edit and refine documents in real time while working directly with executives.
- Apply advanced knowledge of executive resume formats, branding strategies, and ATS/other technology considerations to each client’s unique situation.
- Provide clear, well-documented updates within internal systems and platforms.
- Maintain a high standard of quality, confidentiality, and professionalism when working with senior leaders.
All About You
- 3+ years of experience as an executive professional resume writer or branding specialist; (CPRW, NCRW, or similar credentials a plus)
- Exceptional writing, editing, grammar, and punctuation skills with the ability to write at an executive level
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)
- Experience in using web-based conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom and Microsoft Teams)
- Strong critical thinking, judgment, storytelling, and marketing skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with advisors and internal stakeholders while maintaining accountability for deliverables
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or a related field

- Compensation: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
Placement within this range is determined based on geographic location, experience, and other compensatory factors.
